First Mother's Day!!!

Hallmark holiday or not, I had a great day praising the Lord for the gift of motherhood and celebrating my wonderful mom! Mom, you truly are my best friend in the whole world. You are a woman of God, servant to all, loving mother, loving wife and my biggest fan. You have shown me what a mother should be and to parent with love and patience. You tell me all the time that I'm such a great mother, but I learned it all from you. You are so much fun and have the spunkiest personality. I'm so proud to call you mom. You give the best advice and your encouraging words always bring me back to reality. All of my worries, you make seem so "small in the scheme of things." When I'm down, you always know exactly what to say. You are the best listener! You are so special to me and everyone you encounter. Our daily talks are a vital part of my day and I love when you call me and say, "I just wanted to see if you wanted to check on me." It always makes me laugh and of course mom, I wanted to check on you :) Thank you for everything you have done and still do for me and my family! You are my rock and I'm so thankful God gave me you as a mom. I love you and will call to "check on you" tomorrow :)
Wipe your tears and lets move on with our day...We went to church and then headed to our usual lunch at the club with Dad, Mom, Haley, Nick, Blake, Me & Colt. Paige & Jason (Cousin & Wife), Oma & Opa(Mom's parent's) and Aunt Kim and Uncle Jack (Mom's sister & Husband) joined us in the wine room for Mother's Day lunch.

We arrived a little before our reservation time, so here is Blake patiently waiting for everybody to arrive so he could EAT!

Colt & Blake gave me the cutest card with Colt's picture in it and a "day at the spa." Thanks boys for making my day so special!

My little angel babyMom, Oma & Kim after lunch. Toy & Konrad were unable to be there because they are in California.*Haley refused to be photographed today so no pictures of her!!! Boo on you Haley!*

Blake took Colt home after lunch and I went to workout :) I got home a few hours later and Blake was ready to mow the lawn and I was headed off to Walmart. *sidenote...Star is Blake's bff, hunting dog and sidekick. Everytime he mows our lawn, Star walks right behind/beside him the WHOLE time. Every corner, every turn, front yard and even our back pasture...she is right there by his side.

Ok...Colt and I left for Walmart and ran into Poppy as we walked in the front door! What a nice surprise. He was there getting Gertie some things and was on his way out. Colt & I had a few things on our list and then back home we went to make Crembrule' for Gertie for Mother's Day. Blake, Colt & I headed to his parent's house to drop off the goods. I made a batch of 4 and gave them all to her. I didn't get to taste any....so Tammy, I hope they are good! Tammy gave me the CUTEST shirt! I saw it on somebody the other day and thought it was the cutest shirt ever. It says, "Peace, Love, Mom." I just love it!! Thanks Tam!I hope everybody had a GREAT mother's day!
