Bumpits and tidbits...

...Alright everybody, I FINALLY received my bumpits in the mail after 2 months of waiting...if I would have known I could have got them at Sally's...I would have (so FYI if anybody wants them, go to Sally's).

Ok, so the package comes with two big bumpits and two small bumpits. The big one would be for a poof you wanted for a ponytail, halfup or all the way down and the small one would be for a little puffin with your bangs. I won't go into the spill about how they work...I will tell you, however, that I do like them. It doesn't necessarily make my puffin or poof bigger, but it does make it easier and faster! I have worn them a few times already. My hair looks the same, but with alot less time and effort! They have a few different colors to match each hair color and I have heard that the bumpits do not work with thin hair. I tried to use the big bumpit and wear my hair all the way down, but as for now it really doesn't stay...I have to reinforce it by putting my hair half up or wearing it in a pony tail...

...As most of you know, Blake is an avid hunter and fisher. He has recently taken up bow shooting. As one of my friends asked, "You mean, like the indians?" So yes, kind of, but with a way better bow and way better arrows. He has been entering competitions and coming out on top! I have shot a bow once or twice so I figured I might as well try it too...it could be something super fun that we could do together. Blake was thrilled, so he and I spent most of our Saturday at the bow shop. After tuning up my bow and fletching my arrows with hot pink and zebra...I was ready to go :) I had such a great time being in Blake's element and seeing where he spends most of his time these days. I'm not too shabby either! I will say that drawing a 50lb bow is NOT the easiest thing. Looks like I'm going to have to work out those arm muscles. My goal this year will be to shoot a deer with a bow. I'll let you know how it goes...but at least I have cute arrows right?!

...I was walking around the house with Colt tonight, my arm got tired so I rested him on the kitchen counter, and I'm guessing he was super tired?
Sweet chunky monkey!!!

...The countdown to Seattle begins!!!!! 6 days! Here I come Kels...get ready! I'm so excited and cannot wait. I have never flown by myself so this should be an experience. I wish I liked to read so I would have something to do. Any good books you think I should read? By good, I mean...no romance, no scary and not that many pages! HA! I guess "People" should do the trick. But seriously, I am always looking for a good book and want to start reading. So I need some ideas...help a girl out :)

LOVE!

Three Months Old!!!

Today Colt is exactly 3 months old!
I took this picture at my moms today...please ignore the minor sunburn he got from the not so successfull bluebonnet photoshoot! Sorry Kid, I'm still learning :)
We had such a big day that I didn't even take him out of his PJ's this morning! He slept until 10:15am, I changed him, fed him, and in the carseat he went for another outing. We met Amy for lunch, drove to uptown for my first experience at Luke's Locker...I have been in dire need of some new tennis shoes. Normally, I would see a tennis shoe and say, "that one is cute, I'll get that one." Now I know better! I could no longer stand the blisters and discomfort. At Luke's, they do a foot assessment and decide which shoes are best for your foot according to its size and what you need them for. Based on that, they bring you a few pairs to choose from. I chose the asics. Very comfortable and I can't wait to try them out! After an hour of that, I then ventured over to Mom and Dads house to drop of Colt and get ready for Haley's birthday eve dinner with she and her friends. (look at me Meredith...I'm a poster child for Stella & Dot...I totally accept your offer to crop me from this picture and frame it for your parties! I kid I kid :) But I do LOVE the jewelry! While Colt was being loved on by his Yaya and Doodad, Blake went to another bow shoot. I need to elaborate more on Blake and his bow shooting tournaments etc...but that will be left for another post. Anyways, dinner was great and I stuck to my healthy guns and ordered a salad with shrimp instead of the chicken quesadillas that kept calling my name!

Tomorrow we will celebrate Haley's 28th birthday at my parents house so look forward to a post about that! I also bought "bumpits" and will blog about that soon as well. LOVE!

Lets face it...

Although I'm sure all of you think my child is perfect and wonderful in every way...HA! well, thats what we all would like you to think, but lets face it people...he does have his bad days :) Today was one of them! I called up Erin today wondering what she and Brylee were doing. She informed me that they were going to go take pictures in the blue bonnets. I thought, "man, perfect, Colt and I will join you and it should be great fun." I picked Colt out a cute little outfit and off we were to pick up Erin and Brylee to head to the blue bonnets. As soon as I put Colt in his bumbo...BAM! He was so over it and we hadn't even started. So I thought it would be better for us to take Brylee's picture first and then try Colt again later. Brylee was a DOLL! All she wanted to do was touch and play with the blue bonnets. She was so adorable in her bonnet and pink outfit. She never really gave us a smile, but her pictures were precious! On the other hand, it was hot, sun was in our eyes nomatter what angle and Colt was STILL not having it. He just wanted to eat his hands and cry. As any good mom would do, I took his picture anyway! Too bad so sad buster! I might have ended up with MAYBE ONE picture, but I'm definitely going back out to try again and I WILL get a good one :) Here is our photoshoot!...ENJOY!

For the Record...

Precious Colt,
You are 12 weeks old TODAY! I say this after each week goes by, but time really is flying by! It is so crazy not to be pregnant anymore and my body being back to normal (besides my last 3 pounds to be back to pre preg weight...hallelujah! and a 4 inch scar on my belly) Other than those things, life is perfect and you are growing so fast! You eat SO much!(8oz every 4-5 hrs and sometimes even 3 hours on occasion). You have been sleeping through the night for at least 5-6 weeks and take a 3 hour nap each day, but ONLY if you are in your swing or in the car or if someones holding you. You do not like to lie flat on your back to sleep until bed time. Which is very weird to me how a baby's body knows when to sleep for a long time and when not to...BUT I'm not complaining. Every night, either Daddy or I give you a bath between 8:45-11pm. Depending where we are and if we are home. (You LOVE your bath, by the way, and have NEVER cried) We put your "pooh suit" on because it is FREEZING in your room, lay you in your crib and off to la la land you go until 7:30am. I love to watch you on the video monitor. During the night, I will turn it up for a second so I can hear you breath. I think that's a mom thing and I wish I wasn't so paranoid, but I hear it never ends! On the nose, at 7:30am, you start to squirm knowing that Mommy will come and put you in your swing so you can sleep until 10. I love when I come pick you up out of your swing and say "mommy's here, hi monkey!" You smile at me like you know who I am.

You love to go outside with Daddy and watch him shoot his bow or play with Star, you smile alot, you have been rolling over from your tummy to your back for a while now and have just started to roll from your back to your side, but haven't quite made it to your tummy yet. You do not like being held like a baby unless you are being fed. You like to face out so you can see. When I hold you up to the mirror you laugh. I just wonder what your little brain thinks it is. When I change your diaper I always sing "I aint got no panties on, no panties on, I aint got no panties on...on the dance floor" and you laugh. I bet you are thinking, "mom you are so weird!" I'm going to be the one responsible when you go to school and sing that everytime you go to the bathroom!

You are one LOVED little boy. I can't tell you how many kisses you get a day and how many times people tell you they love you. Between Aunt Haley, Yaya, Doodad, Gertie, Poppy, your Daddy, Me, Mamaw, Papaw, Memaw, and the list goes on and on....you get a lot of attention! I pray over you ALL the time in hopes that you grow up to be a Christian young man, Christian husband and Christian father. I love it when people tell you what they are going to do with you when you get big enough and I love how you can make adults act so silly just to get one little smirk or belly laugh out of you.

Your Daddy is just stupid over you! He is one hands on Dad that loves you to pieces. He was on cloud 9 when we found out you were a boy! His first words were, "we struck gold." He calls you his "little man." A few weeks ago, I was in the kitchen doing dishes and Blake walks in holding you...He looks at me in the face, holds you closer saying, "I just love him so much, lets pray over him." I was almost in tears. I just walked over, touched your little head and we prayed. Yaya always told me that I'd never know how much she loved me until I had my own child. Now I know.

I'm signing a few words to you in hopes you will actually get the point one day. I learned to sign before I could speak and I just figured why couldn't you do the same. I do the sign for "eat" when I give you a bottle. I do the sign for "bath" when I am getting ready to give you a bath and while I'm giving you a bath. I sign "roll over" when I lay you on your tummy, I sign "I love you" ALL day long. I sign "jump" when you are in your Johnny jump up swing. I made up a sign for "Dixie." When she comes around, I say her name and show you the sign. I will start signing "more" and some other things once you start eating actual food. We'll see how long it takes for you to understand or if you ever do.

I take your picture ALOT! I like to dress you up in all your fun clothes like you are my little doll. You are very photogenic and its always so easy to make you smile. You are so cute and absolutely melt my heart!

You don't know you have hands or toes yet, but you like to eat your hand all the time as well as suck your thumb. It is so cute...for now.

You are like my little side kick. We go everywhere together and I'm sure you think you live in your car seat and often wonder when we are going to stay home! I love you so much and you will know how much that is when you have your own.
I'll love you forever
I'll like you for always
As long and I'm living
My baby you'll be!
Love, Mom

On the Go...

Colt stay's with Blake's grandmother (Mamaw & Papaw) once a week. I take him over there in the morning and he stays for a few hours...which allows me to go the gym! That is the ONLY place he doesn't and can't go with me. So its nice to have a little break and know that they are having a fun time! So today I took Colt to play at Mamaw's and off I was to 24 hr fitness with my sweet precious friend Amy. We had a great workout, healthy lunch and decided we should take our children in their strollers to the mall for shopping and walking. I went and picked up Colt and Amy went and picked up Chloe. Chloe is a 3 yr old white Bijon Frise' with a stroller! It is absolutely so cute and hysterical at the same time! I can't tell you how many oooohs and aaaahhhs we got as well as nice and not so nice stares! Chloe did great and was loving being pushed around like a princess!

Our Babies

Chloe loving the attention

We all know Blake's mom LOVES the Tx Rangers. So here is our little Tx Ranger...again

We are now awaiting Blake's arrival home from the grocery store so we can cook dinner and watch all of our shows!! YAY!

Baby's First Easter...

HAPPY EASTER FROM THE KRECKS!!

Thursday & Friday night, Colt had a slumber party at Yaya's house. I had to get ready for my jewelry party that I was hosting for a friend on Saturday. Friday, Haley went to mom's to see Colt and take him the outfit she bought him to wear on Easter. It was a onesie that said, "Baby's First Easter" with pants that matched complete with bunny heads as the feet! It was precious. As I'm driving to Dallas to meet mom and Haley I get this email..."Look, I'm the Easter Bunny...I needed ears to complete the look so Yaya and Aunt Hadey attached cotton balls to my head with karo syrup."

I think it looks more like white devil ears :) But it was still so funny!

Saturday night was my friends First jewelry show. I was happy to host it for her and we had a great turn out. About 15 friends and family came and bought lots of jewelry. It was a great success and a great time! Thanks guys!

Today is the day...Baby's first easter. We went to church, Mom and Dad's for lunch and now back home for a quick nap before we go to Blake's grandmother's for Easter dinner. The Easter bunny came to see Colt twice at my parent's house. He even left foot prints...the SAME footprints he used to leave for us up until this year! I guess he has to stop coming to see us sometime...so now he gets to see Colt! YAY!

Thanks Yaya, Doodad, Gertie & Poppy for all of the fun Easter presents. Next year he will be so much fun hunting eggs! can't wait!

I hope everybody had a blessed day...I'm off to nap and then another Easter dinner...

LOVE!

11 weeks old!

Little Coltie Bear is now 11 weeks old TODAY! I feel like he is more developed this week than last week. Every week he does something new and exciting. I just love it! I don't think I mentioned in the last post that he eats like a TANK. By tank I mean...8-10oz at every feeding...that is ALOT. and boy does he suck it down too! He loves his bottles. I'm glad he's eating more. Therefore, his feedings are more spread out and instead of 8 hours of sleep he sleeps 9 and sometimes 10! I'm very thankful for how spoiled he is making us being such a good baby. I'm sure our next will be a different story :)

Summer weather and lake season is just around the corner!! I can't wait. We spend most of our summer at the lake house so we had to make sure Colt was just as equipped for the lake as we are. Yesterday, I put his swimming trunks and UV shirt as well as his lifejacket on him for a trial run. He was so precious and I'm sure he thought this was just a regular morning photoshoot. Not this time buddy! I'm sure he was confused as to why he had clothes on and I was putting him in the bath. He did great, loved it and floated like a champ. I'm glad to know it floats! The infant life jackets automatically turn them to their back to float. I bet he hopes the lake water is just as warm as his bath water!! :) So here he is in all of his floating glory...

Tomorrow is Good Friday. Lets remember the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior. I hope everybody is having a great week and enjoys their day off tomorrow! Love!

Slacker...

Wow...I have just realized that I haven't posted in a few weeks! Sorry guys, I know you were all missing me :) Since the last post...sweet Colt is now 10.5 weeks old! He had his 2 month appointment on March 23. He is 21 3/4 inches long and in the 10th percentile. Sorry Kid, you don't have the tallest of parents! His weight was 11 1/2 lbs and 50th percentile. He got 3 shots and did great. He is just growing so fast and getting so big right before our eyes! He rolls over, talks and laughs ALL the time. Sleeps like a champ. Last night he slept from 9-6:30. Normally, he will sleep from 10-7 or 11-7. Either way he's getting a good amount of sleep. He is starting to nap during the day as well. Which is also making mommy a happy camper!

Two weekends ago my bestest of best friends, Kelsey, came into town and she got to meet Colt for the very first time! The reunion was badly needed and I'm happy to announce that I'm flying to Seattle to see her in just a few short weeks! Can't wait!!

This past weekend Mom, Colt and I took a short road trip to Sugarland to see some friends. Colt is a great travelor and napped the whole time we were in the car. Good boy! We stayed with the Wrights, had a great lunch and got to catch up a bit before we headed to my friend Meredith's Stella & Dot jewelry launch party. I'm so glad we went. It is a great jewelry line and makes me want to become a stylist as well... I'm still looking into it, but as far as I can tell, it would be great fun! I didn't take not ONE picture this weekend. Shame on me!!

Is it weird that it is almost as fun deciding what Colt is going to wear over deciding what I'm going to wear? I have always loved clothes, but never thought baby clothes would be so fun! He has received SO MANY cute cute cute outfits that I try to dress him up each day in something different and take a picture. Here are the latest...

Thank you Cousin Codie for this precious shirt!

Thank you neighbor Cory for the bass pro onesie! It finally fits!

Thank you sweet precious Mamaw for MAKING this camo outfit! and Thank you Lanna and Jake for the 2 years worth of "Buckmaster" shirts! He is now on his second one :)

Thank you sweet Krista for the cute cute cute onesie! It reads, "if you think I'm cool, you should see my dad." So perfect!

Thank you Martha for the absolutely ADORABLE Burberry sweater!!!!

My friend and neighbor, Jackie, started selling premier jewelry. I'm hosting a party for her this Saturday. Look forward for a post about that as well as EASTER!!

That is all for now! Easter is upon us. I have to find He and I an Easter outfit...That will give us something to do this week as well as clean clean clean for our party on Saturday.

Be Blessed! ~The Krecks
