C-Section is Scheduled...

I had my LAST and final Dr's appointment yesterday! How exciting is that?!... and kind of bitter sweet that this journey is coming to a close. When the Dr said, "the next time I see you we'll be having a baby" I got goose bumps!

The C-Section is scheduled for NEXT Thursday the 22 at 10:00am. She tried to fit me in earlier, but there was NOTHING available. So as of now...Thursday the 22nd at 10am is our day! For those of you needing a reason to skip work or at least half a day, you can use me :) She said from start to finish they allot 1 hour, but usually its done much quicker. Any encouraging words/advice for either Blake or I, from those of you who have had one, would be greatly appreciated. Once again, thank you for your thoughts and keep us on your prayer list for at least another week!

I went into labor and had a natural delivery (with epidural, yay)... but I can tell you what it is like to welcome a baby boy into the world. It is the most incredible miracle you will ever experience. Get ready for your life to be forever changed... it is truly unconditional love at first sight.

Praying for you and Colt and his BIRTHDAY!!! Lots of love mama.

Hey hun! I had two c-sections and I PROMISE it is not as bad as everyone says. Braelyn was a little harder cause it was an emergency but Brylee's was scheduled, like yours, and it was so easy!! I was well rested and ready. Just expect a couple days of being sore and I'm sure you have lots of people to wait on you and baby Colt so you can rest as much as possible with a newborn in the house :) And FYI, I think a spinal is much easier than an epidural, just one shot and you are numb from your neck to your toes :) Ask me questions if you have any.. I know you are nervous, I was SO nervous both times and asked like millions of questions!

Oh, and I think Jeff's advice to your hubby would be "Don't look over the sheet!" LOL I think it was pretty traumatizing for him to see his wife being cut like that! He kept asking if I was okay and I was like "I promise I can't feel anything!"
And tell him he DOES get to be the first one to ever hold your new baby, which Jeff was SO excited. I know it's not fair for us but.. he will be happy. Okay, enough advice. I know you weren't asking for an essay!!!!
