So I have a little over two months to plan C's first birthday party...What?!!! I am still in shock that I'm even THINKING about this! I just know that December will be crazy busy so by starting to plan now, I can cross as many things off my list as soon possible!
First things first...C's cake!! I went with my MIL(Gertie) to the bakery that made my wedding cake, to design/order his cake. I'm pretty sure the flavor will be the EXACT flavor that my cake was because I only got one piece and it was OH SO GOOD!
Since we are speaking of it...here she is. My cake from 4.5 years ago! I could seriously jump into it and eat it all :)
If my memory serves me correctly, it was Amaretto cake with buvarian cream filling with buttercream icing?! I don't have the design quite right yet, so hopefully they have ideas for me. Then I can say "cake...CHECK!"

Then I can say "cake...CHECK!" As far as my "to do" list goes, I really need to find a dress for our Christmas card pictures. As you can see below from our picture Christmas 2006, Colt wasn't here so he doesn't have a stocking! That is the major thing on my list to finish this week. I'm anxious to see how getting TWO dogs AND a baby to look at the camera at the same time works out...you never know!

Aww I can't believe you his birthday is around the corner! This lady wants an invite! Good luck with your Christmas pictures :) I am SURE you will be able to get a good one! Tell the photographer to hold treats in her hand when she takes the picture - that works for me :)

I need to make our cards for Christmas...I've got to get a cute one of Duke too. Hubs won't let me arrange a photo shoot, he's stingy. :-(

OK so i met this girl at a baby shower this past weekend who HAND MAKES all her own adorable baby creations and sells them on an etsy type shop ... they are absolutely TO DIE for and one-of-a-kind. They even have some really cute little boy things!! I love the last pic the octopus:) www.urbansugarboutique.com - but i think everyone who sees makes them wish they had a lil girl to dress up.

How funny! Our christmas cards always have our dogs in them! kinda like little kids its hard for them to both look at the camera!
