14 months!

My little sugar plum is 14 months old today! Getting ready to go on a shopping trip with mommy!
In the past 2 months he has really turned into a little boy
(Enjoying our first lunch with Yaya since she got back from Africa. We hadn't seen her in 10 days!)
Sharing our wagon ride with Dixie
Trying out his Motorcycle for when he turns 3. Its matches Daddy's, but will come with training wheels. (You can always tell when Daddy's in charge because Colt never gets changed out of his jammies)
Colt, lets see what you have been up to...

You love love love and are obsessed with motorcycles and fourwheelers. We go on a fourwheeler ride everyday at your request. Saying "udin udin...DOE" which translates to the sound of the motorcycle/fourwheeler and GO! so off we go...
You talk like ALOT and say anything and everything. You can tell us what you want, when you want it followed with an imitated "pees" (please) and "ta-doo" (thank you) because we make you say it :)
You say "HOMEY" "HOMEY" (hold me) ALL the time! and of course, we hold you :)
You know all your animals and the sounds they make. I haven't really kept up with what you say because you really do say anything and everything. The newest things you say are "alllllll done" when you've finished eating...you say "Yaya" as we turn down the street to go to their house.
You started taking more than 10 steps when you were 13 months old and now you are walking like crazy. It's about time!
You lift up your foot, smell it and say "ewwww tinty" (ewwwwww stinky!) It makes me laugh EVERY time!
You sign milk sometimes, but you usually just say it when you want it...you furrow your eyebrows and say "mio mio."
You sign "more" sometimes, but if you want more food you just say "bite please"
I love when you say I love you. You say "Ina"
You love when people read to you. Most of the time you flip through the books by yourself and name things on the pages.
I've never been a big fan of just putting you in front of the TV...but I do DVR Dora the Explorer for you and you LOVE it. You say "back pack" "map" "boots" "doduh" (dora).
You are the craziest sleeper EVER. For the past few weeks you have been waking up between 10:30 and 11am!! So you are now down to one nap a day because thats all we have time for! I can never say I wasn't a well rested mom :)
You spend the night with Yaya and Doodad every Saturday night because they take you to Sunday school class. We come later for worship.
You are a great eater. You eat anything and everything we eat EXCEPT veggies. You are not a fan.
Poppy taught you a new trick 2 weeks ago. He asks you "who's the pretty boy?" and you raise your hand saying "I" ...for I am.
You say "poo boo" when you are doing a big job :)
You love water. Taking a bath is one of your favorite things. When I tell you "lets go take a bath" you go into the bathroom, turn on the bath water and say "ba" (bath) and "wawwer" (water). You know that you are suppose to sit on your bottom in chairs, in the bath and when you brush your teeth. You act like you are going to stand up, sit down real quick and say "baba" (bottom). You are so smart and such a good boy. *insert me taking a bow here* HA!
You are NOT a snuggler. You DO NOT like to be held while sitting down. It makes me sad. I so badly wish you would let me hold you while lying on the couch. NOT SO MUCH. The only time you let me hold you is right before bedtime. I hold you like a baby while sitting in the rocker. I sing a few songs and we say our night night prayers. You are always so quiet and still while we pray and say "AHMEN" right after me when I'm done.
Your Yaya, Doodad, Gertie and Poppy are the best grandparents ever. You are so lucky. You spend the night with one or both of them at least 2 nights a week. I'm so glad you get to do that and form relationships with each one. You are so blessed as are your daddy and I that we get time away so we can be better parents in the long run. You need a break as much as we do and for this I am incredibly grateful.
Before each meal, we pray for our food. We fold our hands and bow our heads to show you a good example. I watch you staring at us and its always when the prayer is over you fold your hands and imitate "ahmen." It always makes everybody laugh.
You wear size 4 diapers
You wear 12-18month size clothes
You are about 22-23lbs
You are 29-20in long
You wear a size 4 shoe
You have 8 teeth and a few more coming in as we speak
Thats all I can think of for now. You are just a sleeping, eating, talking, fourwheeler riding, bundle of joy! You are so fun and I love being with you each and every day.
Happy 14 months buddy! I'm looking foward to watching you be the ring bearer in Jake and Lanna's wedding, taking you to the lakehouse every weekend, swimming with you everyday this summer, swimming lessons in June, taking you to the beach and Sea World in July. Yay summer fun!!!!!!

Mo Mo Mo Motorcycle!!!

Blake used to race motorcycles 6 years ago and since then gave it up and picked it back up again. I pray pray pray that he does not get hurt like he did when we were in college. After 5 hours spent in the ER and 30 stitches later accompanied by crutches, I DO NOT want to do that again!

Colt and I ventured out to the motorcross track this afternoon to watch daddy do his thang and take a few pics...

Colt kept screaming "Daaaaaaaddddddeeeeeeeee"

Going to the chapel with Amy & Tim

Krista and I threw a couple's shower for our dear friends Amy and Tim. After 4 hours of cooking all appetizers and meals, setting up, cleaning and sampling...we were ready!

A party is never complete without the ever so yummy chocolate fountain. It was a beach themed party...their wedding is in Destin, FL.
Yummy cake
Drink and dessert station. Yummy champagne with fruit and Margaritas on the rocks. We used this super easy recipe. I'm not a margarita fan, but these were GOOD. Find the recipe HERE

I will definitely be making these again!
Some of the food. We set up a taco bar with tortillas, shredded chicken, shredded pork, beef and chunky guacamole,..homemade by Krista. She's an amazing cook.
Please notice the crock pot trio service on the right. I wish I had a better picture. It is AMAZING. I will have one...soon! Find it HERE

They are $99.99 at Target, but I hear they are only $75 at Sams! We had three dips going. Queso blanco, bean dip, and corn dip. Once again, all homemade by the famous chef Krista!
My partner in crime. If I do say so myself, we throw quite a shindig!

Amy & Tim will be cutting their wedding cake soon enough so what better way to practice than to blind fold them (we only had one blind fold so we found some goggles and put napkins in them so he couldn't see. Perfect!) make them cut and feed eachother cake without being able to see. It was hilarious!

They actually succeeded in cutting two pieces of cake...one for each of them, but it was a tad messy :)

Amy, gripping Tim's hand for dear life, guiding it to her mouth to insure he didn't smash it in her beautifully made up face.

The "guess which leg is Tim's" game. We got through about 3 different legs until we got to Tim's. She guessed right, but come to find out, she could see under her blind fold! Cheater!

Opening lots of fun presents
We sung Tim happy birthday and Krista made a special cake just for him.

At the end of the party it was chaos. We were cleaning, Blake and Kara had dish washer duty and we got it all picked up in a matter of 30 minutes. Awesome considering it took us 4 hours to put it out!
Super fun! I can't wait until the wedding...Love you Aims!

What a day!!!!

What a beautiful day it was today!!! 80 degrees, sunny, slight breeze...amazing! Erin, Brylee, Colt and I headed off to the Arboretum for the day. If you aren't from where I am...the Arboretum is a botanical garden full of flowers, all kinds of plants, lots of ponds, fountains and it over looks a local lake. Its realllly big and we only got to see half of it today.

As we walked in, we saw a photographer's cute set up with a bunny and precious little bench. We ran right over to have Colt and Brylee's picture taken.

The bunny started getting a little friendly with Colt, climbing on his shoulder and "batting" at him like a cat...Colt said "no no"... Erin and I were dying laughing...Colt was not

We decided that we should eat lunch first and try the bunny photos again later... Grill cheese sandwiches, lunchables and crackers=nummmmy Bunny photoshoot take 2 We told Colt the precious bunny turned into a cat...He liked that idea better and started meowing and petting the bunny/cat
We got a good picture and $15 later ONE 5x5 will be mailed to my house in about a week...rip off right?! HA!
Around the corner was a petting zoo!
Fun frog spitting fountain
I'm guessing this is why they make straps for strollers?
Story time on the lawn over looking the lake
Gotta love the self timer!
Mommy and Colt T
Reading
FISH!
After 3 hours, loads of walking, playing, reading and eating...it was time to go home. As we were walking out of the park, I looked down at my ring finger and my wedding rings were GONE!!!!!!! My mind was going a mile a minute wondering where in the world they could have gone? "Did I take them off when I washed my hands, did I wear them today?!" It hit me...I took my rings off and put them in Colt's cup holder on his stroller so I could put sunscreen on him without getting them dirty. PHEWW...that was a close one, I went to get them out of the cup holder and THEY WEREN'T THERE!!!!! It had been 45 minutes since I put sunscreen on him and we had walked miles since then! They are gone forever! I started panicing and anxiety filled my body. Erin was totally awesome, played it cool and said, "It's ok Ab, lets retrace our steps." In a frantic panic, I don't think I could comprehend much besides the fact that my beloved wedding rings were gone forever. I'm thinking to myself, "Colt probably got them out of the cupholder, played with them, chewed on them, and threw them out of the stroller...they could be anywhere...this park is HUGE and people are everywhere...even if he didn't swallow them, somebody definitely won the lottery today if they found my rings. I'm never getting them back." Erin was amazing, totally calm, super supportive and on a mission to find my long lost rings...Thanks Erin!
At this time, Blake just so happened to call during my state of crazyness. I told him my rings were gone. He reassured me we had insurance on them and they could be replaced. His information did not help. I didn't want another one I wanted MINE back!
I frantically started checking the stroller. Underneath Colt's bottom, I see a sparkly thing...it was ONE of my wedding bands. I took a slight sigh of relief. There was hope! My big diamond and my other wedding band were no where to be found. (insert panic reving up again here).
Erin and I start retracing our steps. We pass through the pond area with the fish. "Maybe Colt threw it in the pond, but if he did a fish probably ate it already." Nothing there...
We keep walking, looking, panicing, walking, walking, panicing, walking, walking...After about 5 minutes, I prayed this exact prayer outloud, "Dear God please let me find my ring." I took a sigh of dispair. I knew I would never find it. It was gone. At least I found one of my wedding bands. I started to bring myself at peace with reality. "I'll get a new one, its ok. Nobody died, its just a material thing that I can't take with me."
You'll never guess, but it was at that moment...walking through the most goregous pathway covered with giant trees...there it was, I saw it...YES, my wedding ring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ran straight to it, picked it up and shouted at the top of my lungs, "SHUT THE FRONT DOOR!!! HERE IT IS!!!!!!! I FOUND IT!!!" Erin and I were just dying! We were in shock and couldn't believe it. It was then Erin said, "I just knew we were not going to find it, I can't believe you found it!" HAHA thanks for not showing your fear Erin! You did good!
There were people around us and passing us...The people behind us looked at us like we were crazy and said, "what did you find?!" I said, "my wedding rings, its been lost for 45 minutes and I JUST found them, celebrate with me!" They began to clap and congratulate me as if I just found the golden ticket...and I totally did! I found a needle in a haystack.
I am so grateful that Colt decided to drop/throw it in the most shady area with only a little sunlight. It wasn't shining or glistening at all...It was laying there dull as ever! I'm so thankful for this because it never caught anyone's eye and I'm sure nobody ever even saw it! I only saw it because I was looking for it. Praise the Lord!
Of course, I had to take a picture of where it was lying...Can you find it??
No? Well...Scroll down and I'll show you...

Coming to you live...

...from the horse races in Hot Springs, AK. The Kreck clan (Me, Blake, Jake, Lanna, Tammy and Joe) came to spend the weekend at the Arlington hotel.
This weekend I ate fried shrimp for the first time and it was UH-Mazing! I went to the horse races for the first time and it was so fun. I bet on all 10 races and I won a few, lost a few and only came out losing about 16 dollars! Blake, on the other hand, won $321 on ONE race. So did Joe. Lucky ducks!
Sweet Colt T has been at Yaya & Doodad's house since Thursday night having loads of fun. I hope he remembers us when we get back :)
We leave tomorrow morning to head back home. The wheel bus from Wheel of Fortune has come to town so Blake will be taking me to tryout tomorrow as soon as we get home! Cross your fingers!
xoxo
