Ooopsie Daisy...weekend recap

Well, it hasn't even been a week yet and I already missed a day! Whats up with that? Maybe you guys will just get to hear from me twice in one day at some point :)

Lets rewind to Thursday when Kels got here!...
We met up at my parent's house to see my mom and eat one of her newest treats...the yummy yummy cookie monster! (please excuse my attire. I totally look like a 12 year old boy).
She got to love on little Colt and watch mom bathe him in the sink
After a few hours over there, we ended up driving 35 minutes back to my house for a little girls night full of blog help, talking, laughing and maybe a little of this...
I don't think we turned off the TV until 2am!
Friday's shopping day post will be continued after I get pics from Kelso :)

Friday night, I got my hair cut. Only 4 inches, but for me...that is ALOT! After the much needed cut, I went straight to pick up Colt and Mom to head to the football game. Colt sported his presh football sweatsuit (the one he wore at halloween) and was so ADORABLE!
Saturday, Mom, Colt and I shopped and then later that night I headed out to a friends house for a wonderful dinner and then went 2 steppin'. I swear I haven't had that much fun in a LONG time! This morning as I was driving by myself to church, I was listenting to "toes" on repeat while 2 steppin' in my head. Nice!
So here is Ashleigh and I before we left...and the debut of my new hair...its not short so don't get too excitedI'm SO ready for Blake to be home so we can watch the Cowboy game together. I hate being a hunting widow!
As of tomorrow, I'm getting back on the "eating healthy" band wagon. All of this mexican food has caught up with me and decided to leech onto my bootay and thighs! UGH! So my goal is to workout at least 3 times this week...for starters!
Here's to hoping :)

Day 6...randoms

...It has been a busy day! The Kelsey/Abby post will have to wait until she emails me the pics...Hurry Kels!!! Needless to say, we had loads of fun and I am beat! I am still super excited about my shopping purchases today because Kelsey was actually physically there to help me make a decision instead of me taking a picture and emailing it to her!

...I GOT A HAIRCUT! It has been a while since I got a real cut because I only get "trims." I finally caved in and with the pressure from my sister and Kelsey...It happened. 4 inches gone and bangs are now back. It feels great. I'm glad my sister no longer thinks I will end up being THE grandmother with long gray hair...thanks Haley :)

...Mom, Colt and I just got back from a football game and it was WAY colder than I thought it was going to be.

...I'm on the couch drinking hot chocolate and watching The Proposal!! Yippee skips!

Colt says...

..."'Mommy, Dixie thinks we should go ahead and start decorating for Christmas...Can we? Can we?"

..."Mommy, this fire is very scary...don't let it get me!"

..."Mommy, I like beans and tortillas, but are we really eating Mexican food AGAIN?!!"
..."Mommy, don't I look super cute in hats?"

..."Mommy, look at me! I'm Elmer Fudd!"
..."Mommy, why did Yaya give me your old baby doll, baby hills, to play with? I'm a boy." :)
..."Mommy, when do my new ugg booties come in? Daddy says they are stupid..."..."Mommy, I can't wait to see Aunt Kelsey on Thursday...She hasn't seen me since I was 8 weeks old!"

National Bloggging Month!!

In celebration of national blogging month, you will be hearing from me EVERYDAY during the month of November! I wonder if I'll run out of things to say...either that or I'll be so annoying you'll quit reading :)

So today, Blake's cousin and his wife had their first baby! She texted me last night at 1:43am with "He's coming!" Little Jonah arrived at 11:30 this morning, just 8 minutes after Colt and I arrived to the waiting room. We are good luck :) He is so precious and I can't wait for he and Colt to be friends.

On another note...I LOVE mexican food! I have eaten it at least once everyday for a really long time. I just can't help myself. Last night, Blake and I decided to try this little hole in the wall mexican food place. As we were waiting to order, our friends sitting across from us in the booth said, "oh my gosh there is a roach on the wall." It was by the bathrooms and I never got to have a look at it. We ordered, got our food, looked amazing and I was in heaven enjoying my enchiladas when Blake's buddy jokingly said, "hey Abby there's a roach behind you." I laughed and said," thats totally not funny. If there was, I'd jump over this table so fast..." So we kept eating and not even 60 seconds later I saw something beside me on the wall...to my horror, there it was... a HUGE roach crawling on the wall and on to our TABLE. I think I might have said something inappropriate, screamed and pushed Blake out of my way so I could get as far away as I could! The family of 6 sitting at the table beside us happily got up and left to eat somewhere else while we stood there in awe because that just really happened. Nobody from the restaurant came out apologizing or even acknowledged that anything was wrong. They just kept defending themselves by "reassuring" us that this has never happened and they have never seen a roach in the restaurant. I'm sorry, but we saw THREE within 30 minutes...Isn't there something that says, "for every roach you see there are HUNDREDS more you don't see?!" The whole night I kept thinking there were bugs on me....ick!! Looks like we won't be going back there :)
