Got Kielbasa???? & Day at the park!! & Pike's Market

Anybody heard of Kielbasa?? I haven't! Apparently it is a big deal here up north. This is what they serve instead of hotdogs at their sporting events. It is a sausage link in a hotdog bun covered in cream cheese. So basically its a hotdog :) I definitely have thrown my weight watcher points out the window this weekend and loving it! Last night Gabe grilled out a great dinner for us all and did I mention he makes the BEST mojitos!!!!??

Today we went to Greenlake which is a really neat area where people come to hang out and walk/run/skate/bike around the lake. The path runs in a 3 mi long circle around the lake. First, we met up with Marissa & Tilly, Becca & Lulu, Emi & Buster & Mia, Mollie & Sammy, Carmen came dogless, and then there was Kels, me & Harley & Willis. We all met at Starbucks for coffee and a picture before starting the 3 mi trail. It was the most beautiful walk of my life. The landscaping is incredible and I felt like I was at the arboretum.

The girls/dogs at Starbucks
Photo-op and doggie pitstop :)
Beautiful scenery

After the amazing walk at the park, Kels and I ventured out to Pike's Market. Pike's Market is a local fish market downtown with flowers and little goodies. Please notice that Kelsey is wearing a tanktop and I am wearing a North Face Fleece! It was beautiful weather, but 60 degrees is considered freezing to me coming from Texas.
Beautiful flowers! Most bouquets were only $10!
The flying fish market
Seattle is known for their pigs throughout the city
My very first Gyro! It is a Pita filled with lettuce, tomato, lamb and sauce
...Stay tuned for our yummy dinner at Azul!

I did forget to mention that I am missing my hubby and baby. I'll be home tomorrow loves!!

Seattle!!!!!!!!!

I made it to seattle!!! After 3 years...I finally made the trip out to Seattle to see my BFF, Kelsey Brooke Lugar Smith! My flight left DFW at 7:55am and I made it to Seattle at 9:55am Seattle time. Kelsey and her sweet puppy Harley picked me up and right away she took me on a tour of Seattle and showed me all of the fabulous sites! We met up with her fabulous friends Katie & Mollie and headed to their favorite lunch spot..."Purple." There we had fabulous salads and sandwiches and a wonderful Malbec wine. From there, we WALKED to the winery....it was only .75 miles from the lunch spot, but in heels...it seemed a tad bit further! Here we are on our walk to the winery....

We finally arrived at the winery and the tasting was GREAT. We took a tour and got a few tastings straight from the barrel as well...so fun!
We then walked to another winery, had a tasting and played bocci. I'm pretty sure I am going to uproot my family and move to Seattle!!! Ok maybe not, but a girl can dream right?!

Here we are sitting in the living room grilling out and living the life! Thanks Kels for letting me ruin your schedule for a weekend so we can play!!! I love you to pieces and you make me sooooooo happy!!!!!!!!!!!! Get preggers and move back home!! Ok bye!!

Making a Difference...

Congratulations Mom!!!

For those of you who do not know my mother, she is the counselor & educational diagnostician at my old High School. Thursday, during all school chapel she was surprised/honored with a plaque that will hang over her office naming it "The Dr Sheryl Hamilton Counseling Office." The story that was told revealing she was the winner of this award was one that made my dad tear up as it was being read....to make a long story short, she had counseled this boy from his 8th grade yr all the way up to his Sr yr. Unknowingly, she had made a difference in his life. At the end of his Sr yr...he went into her office and told her to hold out her hand because he had a gift for her. In her hand he placed a bullet that he had kept in his pocket all these years that he was going to use on himself, but now he wanted mom to have it. What a blessing! Love you mom!

Bumpits and tidbits...

...Alright everybody, I FINALLY received my bumpits in the mail after 2 months of waiting...if I would have known I could have got them at Sally's...I would have (so FYI if anybody wants them, go to Sally's).

Ok, so the package comes with two big bumpits and two small bumpits. The big one would be for a poof you wanted for a ponytail, halfup or all the way down and the small one would be for a little puffin with your bangs. I won't go into the spill about how they work...I will tell you, however, that I do like them. It doesn't necessarily make my puffin or poof bigger, but it does make it easier and faster! I have worn them a few times already. My hair looks the same, but with alot less time and effort! They have a few different colors to match each hair color and I have heard that the bumpits do not work with thin hair. I tried to use the big bumpit and wear my hair all the way down, but as for now it really doesn't stay...I have to reinforce it by putting my hair half up or wearing it in a pony tail...

...As most of you know, Blake is an avid hunter and fisher. He has recently taken up bow shooting. As one of my friends asked, "You mean, like the indians?" So yes, kind of, but with a way better bow and way better arrows. He has been entering competitions and coming out on top! I have shot a bow once or twice so I figured I might as well try it too...it could be something super fun that we could do together. Blake was thrilled, so he and I spent most of our Saturday at the bow shop. After tuning up my bow and fletching my arrows with hot pink and zebra...I was ready to go :) I had such a great time being in Blake's element and seeing where he spends most of his time these days. I'm not too shabby either! I will say that drawing a 50lb bow is NOT the easiest thing. Looks like I'm going to have to work out those arm muscles. My goal this year will be to shoot a deer with a bow. I'll let you know how it goes...but at least I have cute arrows right?!

...I was walking around the house with Colt tonight, my arm got tired so I rested him on the kitchen counter, and I'm guessing he was super tired?
Sweet chunky monkey!!!

...The countdown to Seattle begins!!!!! 6 days! Here I come Kels...get ready! I'm so excited and cannot wait. I have never flown by myself so this should be an experience. I wish I liked to read so I would have something to do. Any good books you think I should read? By good, I mean...no romance, no scary and not that many pages! HA! I guess "People" should do the trick. But seriously, I am always looking for a good book and want to start reading. So I need some ideas...help a girl out :)

LOVE!

Haley is 28!!! Happy birthday sweet, precious sister! I love you so much and I hope you had a great day! There's nothing like having a sister and a big sister at that. Haley...You have always been my best friend and are always there for me. I cherish you like no other and am so thankful that you love Colt like you would your own.
