"Code Brown" and Nutella...not to be confused with eachother. Idol disgrace

Update:Colt is now 13 months old. I'm going to start doing Colt updates every 2 months instead of every month just for your sake. If something amazing happens I'll update, but every 2 months sounds good so I don't bore everybody with the same ol stuff.

We did have our first "code brown" tonight. Blake and I have always joked about what we would do if Colt did his "business" in the bath tub. Colt now says "poo poo" when or right before he does his thang. I'll give myself props for this one because it is undeniable when he's going to the bathroom so I always just told him what he was doing...so now he tells me when he's doing it :) He was in the bath tonight and all of a sudden he says, "poo poo." I immediately said OH NO and grabbed him out of the bath, but it was tooooooo late...the baby ruth from Caddy Shack was in MY bathtub! I ran to the living room and screamed CODE BROWN. Blake comes running from the office, knowing exactly what I was talking about, and came to our rescue. It was hillarious! Blake and I shared a laugh and a high five afterwards. Good times...

I love Nutella...anyone else? I was first introduced to this wonderfulness over 2 years ago. Since, I have tried to pass it up everytime I walk through the peanut butter aisle only because it will be GONE within 2 days. I don't eat it with anything...just by itself, with a spoon. It's amazingness! I caved in and bought some and it's almost gone...ooopsie! I guess bridesmaid and bikini bottom ready will have to wait until March :)

I would love to know everyone's thoughts on American Idol. I have to admit, this is one of my favorite shows!!!!!! This year, I feel as if they picked the wrong people. There are maybe 2 people, at most, I look forward to hearing. The girls totally sucked it up and the boys weren't too great either...is it just me? and when the heck does 90210 and Melrose place come back on??

Thinks that make me go...ooooooh

Who doesn't love things that make their life easier?! I'm a sucker for anything and everything that saves me a few minutes. How about you?

I found this at my local Kroger (recently saw they had it at Walmart as well)...Pancake batter in an "cheese wiz" type can. Don't say "gross!" Its really good! All you do is shake it...turn it upside down and squirt it......and it makes a perfect pancake and its super good! Try it!
OK wine lovers...especially precious Kendall who also shares my love, here is the latest greatest way to drink wine...out of a juice box...(found them at Target)yes, a juice box! It does not come with a straw (via google info) so it cannot be confused with a kids drink. Just tear the safety seal away and drink it...straight out of the box. Its actually pretty good and an awesome addition to an ice chest without taking a bottle, opener and a glass! When I shared this news with my mom in my "excited please be excited with me" voice she said, "you have those expensive wine glasses and you are excited about drinking it out of the box?!" Thanks for raining on my parade, but YES I'm soooo excited! :) Last, but not least...if you wonder how I tame my thick, frizzy locks...wait no more. I use the fabulous instyler! As seen on TV. Its just as amazing as they make it out to be. I love it! It cuts my hair doing time in half, cuts out the frizz and I just couldn't live without it! AND if you order now, you get TWO :)
Do you have some things that make your life easier?!! Please tell us your favorites!

Valentine's day playdate, SNOW and 12 month check up...

Wednesday, my fellow mommy had 7 other mommies and babies over for a Valentine's themed playdate. She made yummy cupcakes that my child certainly enjoyed!!

Here are a few of the kiddos Colt, being the ham that he is, decided to climb into the dog cageHe thinks he's sooo funny :)
SNOW!!! This morning, my friend Erin called at 9:40am to see if I would still be taking Colt to the Dr. for his check up(my house sleeps until around 10am. Can we say lazy bums??). In my groggy confusion, I simply asked "why not?" Still confused, I climbed out of bed to see what she was talking about and OMG it was seriously a winter wonderland outside! In all my 24 years of life, I have NEVER seen snow like this down here! The roads weren't bad, just full of white snow...so we still made it to the Dr for our 12 month check up!

After Colt got up at the early hour of 10am :) I rushed him to the window to show him the beautiful snow before we had to scramble and get ready for our 11 o clock appt.
We had our 12 month check up and here are his stats...
Height: 29.5in (30%)
Weight: 21lbs 13.5oz (40%)
I was told that he was the only one yr old the whole office has ever seen talk like he does. Seriously, there are over 40 words in his vocabulary and he uses them daily, not including all the immitation he can do. I can't explain it...
He got his 3 shots :( In his crying hysteria, I said "Colt thats not nice, tell the nurse thank you." Still crying, with alligator tears, he says "dan koo." It was hilarious! As I walked out of the room to head home, rumor got around about how talkative he was and all the nurses wanted to see for themselves. They wanted me to make him say this and that and gobs of things. I was thinking "its not a circus people!" :) Needless to say, they were loving it! He's just tooo cute for words, but I'm not biased or anything...

Loving the snow!
AND...happy birthday to the best father in law ever! Blake's dad turned the big FIVE-ZERO Monday! We celebrated last night by going to their favorite restaurant, Pappadeaux's! Love you Poppy! Happy birthday!
Lastly, for your viewing pleasure, here is a not so great video taken from my phone of Colt answering the question "What is Haley having?" He replies "baby" Can we say P-R-E-S-H????

Shout out...

I need to give a big shout out to my BIL, Jake...He just got into his first choice PA school. We are all super excited he and his future wife will be staying close to home! Way to go Jakey poo :)

So...once again our "Kreck honeymoon curse" lives on. Jake and Lanna had to officially cancel their honeymoon (2 week Mediterranean cruise) because he will be starting PA school TWO DAYS after they get married...bummer!! But aren't they beautiful?!
Blake/Jake's grandparents, Blake/Jake's parents and Blake & I either didn't go our honeymoon or had some kind of mishap that cut their honeymoon short and now Jake and Lanna will not be going on their honeymoon...that's the price you pay if you marry a Kreck,
but it's definitely worth it to have their last name...its a good one, yet people have no idea how to spell it or say it. Let me clear it up...Kreck (Kr-eh-k).

Aunt Abby!

That is what I will soon be because my sister is having a baby!!!!!
This the most exciting news I have ever heard!!! If you know my sister, you should know how "wishy washy" she and Nick were about having kids. It was always "we don't want kids" and then "we just want one kid" and then "we're going to try to have kids when I turn 29" and then "we don't know if we want kids" and then "we're going to try to have kids in Sept 2010." I think its awesome how God jumped in and said "GUESS WHAT?! You will have a kid when I say and I think NOW would be a good time!" :) Haley is such an amazing Aunt!! She loves loves loves her little Colt and she always said she didn't want to have a kid because she wasn't sure if she could love it as much as she loves Colt!!! Is she in for it or what moms?!!! She is going to be an amazing mom and I cannot wait for Colt to have a little cousin!!

Pretty much everybody knew the good news except for my parents. Haley wanted to have a family dinner and tell them face to face. So tonight, we met at our favorite restaurant and surprised them with news of another grandchild :)
I bought Haley a few gifts: her first maternity tee, preggo pop drops and stretch mark coco butter. I handed the bag to her to open over the table and let my parents figure it all out as she unwrapped each thing. They were so surprised and extremely excited for another grandbaby!!
I love you sissy face! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
