WINE-ding down!

For those of you who don't know...I am a self proclaimed WINE-O...yes, it is true! To my wallet's despair...I can't drink white wine, blush, nor any light bodied red wine! It has to be medium and up...Very red, Very thick and heavy! Oh red wine...how I missed you for 9 months! Needless to say, a few gifts that were brought to us in the hospital happened to be red wine! Thank you friends who know me OH SO WELL! My mother in law had this CUTE personalized wine label made and gave them to family as gifts...so cute Tam! And for those of you wondering if I'll ever drink it...the answer is YES! You can't just not drink it! My plan is to drink it on his first birthday so we'll see and I'll do something clever with the bottle! Misc Mer...do you have any creative ideas?! (http://miscmer.blogspot.com/)

Next up...2 years ago I became envious of those who collect things. I have always wanted to collect something. Not just something that sits on a shelf, but something that I could display and use as well. I came across a cute boutique in Abilene that had Lolita wine glasses! How perfect! Wine glasses! Not just any wine glasses, but hand painted wine glasses that fit perfectly to my personality and different milestones throughout my life. Over 2 years I only have 6, but I have promised myself I won't by any personally. They all have to be gifted to me. So in no particular order...here they are (The pictures DO NOT give them justice. I took them with my phone so I could upload them faster)

"Kind of on a diet" "Cooler by the Lake"

"Fashionista" "New Mommy"

"Leopard" "Ostentatious"

The next Lolita wine glass on my "please give it to me for a gift" list is WILD CHILD! How cute is this wine glass?!!!!!

and...YES of course I use them! They have to be hand washed, but why let them sit in a china cabinet and get no lovin'? I take care of them :)

"Men are like fine wine. They all start out like grapes, and it's our job to stomp on them and keep them in the dark until they mature into something with which you'd like to have dinner with."

:::Play Date:::

Erin & Brylee came over around 11 this morning. We loaded up my car with both car seats, babies, baby bags and strollers and off we went. We ran about an hr's worth of errands before we arrived at our destination....Northpark. Our first stop was FOOD and then COFFEE! We shopped and got some much needed exercise. We found the perfect spot for a picture and I found the sweetest old man to take it. Little did I know we would have to spend a few minutes teaching him how to use a DIGITAL camera! Poor guy, but at least he learned something new for the day :) As far as I can tell, he did a good job for his first time.
I couldn't resist a picture of the two sleeping angels in the back seat...After getting home and doing a few chores...I loaded up Colt and we headed to "girls night." Every Monday or Tuesday my sweet, precious friends Krista, Amy and I get together to cook dinner and watch our shows! This was Colt's first girls night and it was great! As for the bachelor girls tell all...snore! But I can't wait for the finale next week. I really don't care who he chooses because I liked Jillian anyways, but I am anticipating his choice.Busy busy fun day...tomorrow looks like an all dayer in PJ's :)

One month old!

I officially have a one month old!!! We started off today with our normal Sunday routine consisting of Church with Me, Blake, Colt, Mom , Dad, Haley & Nick...Lunch at the club, which is always hysterical and full of crazy laughs, then Blake & I left a little early today so we could meet Brooke at our house for pictures!! She got to meet Colt for the first time and took loads and loads of wonderful pictures. Check out her blog http://bophotography.squarespace.com/ Here are a few favorites...After the photo shoot, Blake was off to Bass Pro Shop, ride motorcycles and shoot his guns...typical! As for me, I had some much needed pampering done at my spa/nail place and a trip to the grocery store while my sweet mother loved, fed, held and bathed sweet Colt. He was fresh, clean and in his jammies when I came home. Love it when that happens! He LOVES getting a bath. Cutest thing ever. He gets completely limp and relaxed...and then falls asleep...

OH....and a little random side story about my trip to the grocery store...Ok, I am done with my shopping and figure I don't have that many items so I jump in the "15 items or less" lane. Its my turn and I start unloading my cart. The cashier looks at me and says, "This is the fifteen item or less lane...did you count your items?!" I'm like, "seriously, the cashier is yelling at me because he thinks I have too many items?!" Has anybody ever been asked that before? by the Cashier?! It was like he wanted to kick me out of line or something because I could possibly have more than 15 items...Turns out I had 16...my bad :)

So I get home...cook dinner, play online and am now enjoying watching my sweet angel sleep on the video monitor. What an amazing invention! Its after midnight and I should be asleep...but considering I had 3 cups of coffee today...I'm not surprised! If I have ONE cup of coffee after 8am I can't sleep. oops :)Sunday is the dreaded weigh in day for me! Yes, its true, I finally weighed my self 2 weeks ago. Last week I lost 3 pounds! So I'm thinking, "yeah! this will be easy" Boy was I wrong...This week I lost a measly ONE pound! Seriously, here I am eating perfect...no cheating and walking extra (since I can't work out for 2 more weeks) and lose ONE pound...and Blake does NOTHING and eats hamburgers and loses 7?!! WHAT?! Hopefully this next week will be better...I'll let you know.

Tomorrow I will see my friend Erin for the first time in over 23 days!! Its been WAY to long and we are going to have a full day of fun. We will be off to the mall with babies and strollers for lunch, shopping and walk walk walking! Can't wait to see her and little Brylee bear!

Who is excited for The Bachelor? I get sucked in every time. I can't wait to watch the "girls tell all." Their drama excites me for some reason. They can be ruthless!

night night!

:::What's new with us?:::

Valentines Day
Like I said before...we keep it pretty low key for valentines day. Not this year people! Blake heard on the news that Waffle House was putting white table cloths on for the spirit of valentines. Blake thought this was great and begged me for a week to go! First, I have never been to Waffle House EVER and second, gross! After a week of Blake begging, I caved in and decided to have a little fun with it and to Waffle House we went for a romantic valentine's dinner! ...and boy was it! Lets just say the PLASTIC white table cloths, fake red rose and tiny tea candle was quite the romantic setting. Not to mention the waitress with no front teeth...

Pictures by Martha
Colt had his first photoshoot by our dear friend and photographer Martha Leeson. He was wide awake for most of the shoot and did so great! Here are a few of my favorites...

4 weeks old!

My little munchkin is now 4 weeks old TODAY! I absolutely cannot believe it. Two weeks ago he weighed 7lbs 110z at the Dr's office. As of 2 days ago he weighed 9lbs 8oz! He is getting so big by the day and can now wear his newborn clothes!

Brooke Ogilvie...

Brooke is a great friend of mine and just so happens to be my cousin-in-law and a great photographer! She will be here this Sunday to take Colt's second set of pictures! We cannot wait and are so excited...take a look at her fun blog and wonderful photos! bophotography.squarespace.com

Random happenings lately...

...I'm pretty sure my 3 week old has been to more places in 3 weeks than most 3 week olds! Babies r' us, home depot, lowes, the DAC, church, boat show, Gertie's house, Yaya's house, Aunt Jans house, Mamaw's house, Bass pro shop, work with daddy, visited his future school to see Yaya and Gertie, and the list goes on and on...I'm loving that he is a great baby and only gets fussy when he's hungry! Everywhere we go we take LOTS of bottles :)

...I love that my mom and Blake's mom come over at least once or twice a week to take over night baby duty so we can sleep a full 8 hrs, uninterrupted! I can't imagine not having both sides of the family so close...it truly is a blessing to have such great support during this new chapter in our lives.

...Valentine's day is pretty low key over here at the Kreck house. We used to go all out when we were first together, but now after 9 years we either order a pizza and stay in or go out before or after the actual day to avoid the hustle and bustle. I'll let you know what we do :)

...Little Colt is now 3 weeks old and getting soooo big by the day. This afternoon we are going to get his first set of pictures made by our close friend/photographer, Martha Leeson. Next weekend we are having another set made as well by my sweet cousin in law Brooke Ogilvie. I can't wait and will post them as soon as I get them.

...Thats all I can think of going on over here. Nothing super awesome or exciting. Everything is the same... except for now we take the baby with us. Bye for now!

Up and running!

Colt is now a little over 2 weeks old! Time really does fly. It has been so fun having him home and getting used to everything and having a baby at the house. FINALLY, we are starting to feel a little better around the Kreck household. The past few days have been full of sickness! Blake started us off with a sinus infection. I got the sinus infection too as well as a bladder infection! NO FUN!!! and little Colt has the sniffles as well. After a few Dr appt's and some much needed meds...we are doing better. It can only go up from here. Today we spent the WHOLE day out of the house starting with Church, a cousin's birthday party, 3 hours at the boat show and ended with dinner for Poppy's birthday. Needless to say after getting home at 8, doing laundry, cleaning the house etc...I'm EXHAUSTED! My mom is here taking over night baby duty so we can have a full nights sleep. THANK YOU MOM!! YOU ARE A SAINT AND I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU! Off to bed, but here is a picture from the birthday party, the boat show and a cute one of Blake being silly with Colt on his shoulder's...Blake came down the hall singing "my daddy and me" and we just had to get our cameras! GOODNIGHT!
